International Specialty Products Inc. (ISP), through one of its subsidiaries, has acquired the biocides business of Bode Chemie, based in Hamburg, Germany. In the transaction, ISP acquired Bode’s range of industrial biocide products for the paint and coatings, metalworking fluids and building and construction markets. Bode Chemie will continue its hygiene and disinfectants business. The acquisition of Bode’s biocides business further enhances ISP’s existing biocides portfolio and follows the acquisitions of Progiven S.A.A. and the biocides assets of Milker & Grüning Gmbh during 2006 and Biochema in 2004. In addition, ISP continues to make investments to support its key products for the purposes of complying with the European Biocidal Products Directive.
